  22.      I will keep this primer simple, follow the steps, and you will 
  23. add FOUR External Protocols to your WILDCAT! Ver. 1.10.  I put this 
  24. togather because I think there must be other WILDCAT! SysOp's with the 
  25. same problem I initially had: Getting the External Protocols to work!
  26.      To this end I contacted Don Bodley, his WILDCAT! BBS had 
  27. functioning External Protocols!  Through his help, I now have Zmodem, 
  28. MegaLink, Kermit, and Ymodem Batch protocols.  
  29.      The steps are as follows:
  30.     
  31.      1.   Copy the .BAT and .COM files into your Main WILDCAT! 
  32. Directory, ie. C:\WILDCAT. These must be in the Main Directory.
  33.  
  34.      2.   Execute MAKEWILD
  35.  
  36.      3.   While in MAKEWILD, Set the Following:
  37.  
  38.           A. Frame 7, Item 13, Set external protocols path to Main
  39.              WILDCAT Dir. ie. C:\WILDCAT
  40.  
  41.           B. Frame 8, Item 3, Set number of external protocols to four
  42.              (4).
  43.  
  44.           C. Frame 18, Enter the following:
  45.           LTR    NAME         Up .BAT        Dn .BAT        Batch
  46.           ___    ___________  ______________ ______________ ______
  47.           K      Kermit       Kermitup.bat   Kermitdn.bat     Y
  48.           M      MegaLink     Mlinkup.bat    Mlinnkdn.bat     Y
  49.           Z      Zmodem       Zup.bat        Zdown.bat        Y
  50.           B      Ymodem-Batch Ybatchup.bat   Ybatchdn.bat     Y

  52.      4.   Exit MAKEWILD and Save Changes.

  54.      5.   That's it! Your protocols are now functional! 
  55.  
  56.      REMEMBER! Your users have to have their Default Protocol set to 
  57. NONE to use these protocols.
  58.  
  59.      NOTE!!  DONOT attempt to add SeaLink to WILDCAT! unless you have 
  60. a Modem that supports error checking such as the U.S. Robotics Courier 
  61. HST or the U.S. Robotics Courier 2400e.  SeaLink does not have 
  62. internal Error checking, this will cause problems with WILDCAT!  The 
  63. other protocols are self-checking.
